Research Practice

Our mission is to investigate, uncover, explore, and develop sustainable products, solutions, and systems that prioritize human well-being and environmental health utilizing our collective knowledge base and mix-methods practice approach.

Our Approach

We disassemble wicked problems vis-a-vis design research sprints. Using mixed methods practices, service design techniques, and systems thinking, we map the complexity of these challenges, organizing them into their parts, in order to identify the linkages, breakpoints, and critical leverage points that can be zeroed in on for future design optimization. Our goal is that the outcomes from our collaborative efforts will empower and enable organizations and communities alike, cross-fertilize ideas between different ecosystems and disciplines, and help spark new fields of research, partnerships, and technologies that can catalyze new funding opportunities and new economic models.

It isn’t just about value creation. It’s also about value capture. However, tomorrow’s value capture must be responsible and sustainable.

How We Bring Value

Research Partnerships

We partner with academic researchers, organizations, and subject matter experts conducting collaborative research on predefined design research challenges. Our research aims to cover various areas within product design, supply chains, urban planning, the blue ocean economy, healthcare, and AI automation. We strive to contribute to a more sustainable future by producing thinking and approaches that prioritize the well-being of people and the planet.

Advisory Services

Through our research, we aim to generate design outcomes and findings that pinpoint addressable leverage points that help individuals, communities, organizations, and sovereign countries develop new products, services, and systems that are designed with sustainability in mind. We believe that circular design is a key methodology that can help us reduce waste and increase resource efficiency, by designing products that can be reused, repaired, or recycled. Additionally, we utilize systems thinking to analyze the interconnections and interdependencies between different elements of a system and identify innovative and sustainable solutions to complex problems.

Knowledge Sharing

Our goal is to share our research findings and insights with other organizations through publications, conferences, and online platforms.

Advocacy and Awareness-raising

Our aim is to create an open committee-driven platform that engages in advocacy and awareness-raising activities on behalf of the public and our planet's interest driving public awareness via quantified research about a particular issue or advocating for policy change.
